Zooming into the Universe

Annual meeting of the German Astronomical Society 2020 from September 13 to 17, 2021

Under the theme "Zooming into the Universe", we invite to a mixture of plenary lectures by the awardees and diverse splinter meetings covering a wide range of scientific topics. Due to ongoing restrictions on travel and related planning uncertainty, this year's International Annual Scientific Meeting of the German Astronomical Society will not take place in Bremen as originally planned, but online from 13 to 17 September.

On Wednesday, September 15 from 19:00 - 20:30 we invite to a public evening lecture (in German): Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Reinhard Genzel will report on groundbreaking detailed observations of the center of the Milky Way. The lecture will take place online as a Zoom meeting and will be accessible without registration via the website: https://ag2021.astronomische-gesellschaft.de/abendvortrag

During the meeting week, the 94th Annual General Assembly of the German Astronomical Society will be held on 14 September, also online, to which all members of the AG are cordially invited. On 13 September, meetings of the AstroFrauenNetzwerk and the Junge AG are planned.

The program and further information about the AG meeting 2021 are published on the meeting website:
